Duplex on Third, the cozy hotspot located in Beverly Hills, introduces its new internationally-themed Sunday Night Suppers. Starting in May, Culinary Passport to the World paves the way for foreign fare fit for a weeklong vacation, without the hassle of security clearance or turbulence.
Each month the innovative geniuses at this see-and-be-seen dining house will tackle a different country, inviting you to take in all of the traditional meals that will cultivate your taste buds. The first leg of your conquest will kick off May 5th with A Visit to Spain.
This 3-course menu will start your journey off with a few savory options. The delectable first-course choices will span from Spanish Kale and Chorizo Soup, Crispy Fried Smelt with green olives and preserved lemon or an explosive Calamari and Chorizo with frisée salad.
From there your conquest will take a sharp turn into the meet of your adventure. Items such as Paella del Rei infused with mussels, clams, sausage and saffron, Beef Stuffed Peppers kicked up a notch with capers and parsley or Baked Cod with romesco and string beans offer a unique take on these traditional Spanish dishes.
And what would vacation be without a bit of gluttony? After all, what happens in Spain stays in Spain. Warm Churros with Turron Ice Cream provide a savory, flavorful meltdown while a less steamy slice of heaven could have you opting for a Spanish-style cheesecake, otherwise known as Tarta Queso, paired with vanilla ice cream.
With a ($35?) price point, this cross-the-sea trip won’t break the bank and will get you home just in time for the work week to begin, that is unless you end up in a food coma.
