Keeping true to the nostalgia of the brand, a large color palette was selected for consistency across the eCommerce experience. All colors were based on the iconic visuals located in the Lego brand retail stores across the country.
With the jump in traffic on mobile and tablet, creating a site that was fully responsive was a key point in all design decisions.
Given Lego's global operation and large amount of key stakeholders, it was imperative to create easy-to-read wireframes that allowed a glimpse into key marketing message positioning, user journeys and the overall experience. Once approved, the wireframes were used as the primary source of information to support visual design.
